Gledco Multipurpose Cooperative has once again named the Most Outstanding Cooperative - Large Category during the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte's Cooperative Month Celebration held at the Centennial Arena on October 30, 2024.
The plaque and cash incentives were awarded by our Governor, Hon. Matthew J. Marcos Manotoc and Vice-Governor, Hon. Cecilia Araneta Marcos, with the presence of SP Member, Hon. Jonathan Torralba, CDA Regional Director Atty. Frederick Joe N. Robles, CDA Specialist II, Ma'am Rosievic Medina, INAFEC Director, Atty. Pancho Jose, Laoag City Government Supervising Cooperatives Development Specialist, Mr. Jun A. Miguel and Ilocos Norte Union Cooperative's Chairnan, Mr. Benjamin Y. Campan̈ano.

The 22nd General Assembly has been a resounding success, and we extend our gratitude to our members and partners in society. The true essence of cooperativism was exemplified during the general assembly. This event included the election of the Board of Directors (BOD), a review of annual reports, financial statements, and the proposed 5-year plans and programs. Members actively participated, voiced their opinions and concerns, and fostered democratic participation in cooperative governance.
Our national hero, Jose Rizal, recognized the importance of cooperatives; he initiated a water service cooperative in Dapitan, foreseeing that cooperatives would play a vital role in eradicating poverty and bridging the gap between the wealthy and the poor. In this spirit, Gledco partners with other companies to support the growth and well-being of our members and communities. Gledco stands as a testament to the effectiveness and efficiency of true cooperatives, continually striving to serve its members and the community.

In addition to this, Gledco was acknowledged as the Cooperative with the Largest Amount of Taxes Withheld and the Cooperative with the Highest Employment Generation.
Moreover, we received a plaque of recognition from the Cooperative Development Authority for our support of the Koop Kapatid program, which embodies the Big Brother/Small Brother theory. We were also awarded a certificate for best practices in cooperatives, specifically in the realm of Community Outreach Programs
